Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: East West Urban Management  

Wage: Hourly rate TBD based upon experience and skill


Reports to: Chief Building Engineer


Job Summary:

Assist in, and conduct the daily operations and maintenance of building systems including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other general maintenance requirements of facilities that vary from high rise buildings to townhomes.  Customer service, attention to detail and a proactive approach is required.


Job Duties:

  1. Immediate response to emergency situations (fire, evacuations, water mitigation, equipment failures, etc.)
  2. Perform work order requests
  3. Perform preventative maintenance duties including but not limited to: changing filters, greasing motors, replacing lights, ballast and switches, temperature complaints, power outages, drains, patching and painting, etc.
  4. Conduct periodic equipment inspections
  5. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies and company directives in regard to safety and building operations
  6. Maintain and ensure proper operation of life safety/fire systems/elevators
  7. Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings
  8. Snow removal and janitorial duties as required
  9. Special projects and project management as requested by management

  4. Hands on, no job is beneath me approach 
  5. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications, office equipment and BAS
  6. Ability to lift heavy objects when required
  7. Ability to work on ones feet throughout the day
  8. Ability to walk from building to building
  9. Ability to walk up and down stairs
  10. Ability to work in extreme environments - extreme heat and extreme cold
  11. Ability to work one weekend day and four weekdays based on scheduling needs
  12. Ability to be on call on a rotating shift





Minimum Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Sustained background in a variety of trades
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  3. Must have a professional demeanor
  4. Must have a sincere desire to help people - owners, guest, staff, and alike
